Third edition of the 'Talent Workshop'

Tesco launches third edition of a grant program for non-governmental organizations that are supporting education of youth. NGOs taking part in the contest can get financial resources to support their long term projects. There is PLN 250,000 in total waiting for the winners of the contest.

Holiday is a time of intensive planning for the NGOs and preparing activities that will take place in a new school year. Many of these organizations have plenty of good ideas, but do not have enough money to execute them. We want to help, that is why for the past three years we have been organizing  grant contest ‘Talent Workshop' - said Katarzyna Michalska-Miszczyk, head of Tesco Foundation. ‘Thanks to our support at least 25 foundations and non-governmental organizations, have an opportunity get financial support, to execute projects. Every year we are surprised by innovative ideas - we hope this year will not be different.‘

As it was in previous years, non-governmental organizations compete for help in executing long term projects, lasting up to 9 months (from October 2015 till June 2015). They can maximally be granted 10 000 zlotys. This year Tesco Foundation will support projects regarding food waste issue – educating children and teenagers about the causes of food waste and fighting with this problem.

All applications will be evaluated by the jury, and grants will be given to the ones with the greatest score. Award winners will be known by the beginning of October  2015.
